This is a double adventure episode. The first part is about how I catch a Carp while fishing for Bluegill with light tackle and my Lews TLC-3000 spinning reel. The second part is about being at a mountain lake with my uncle, who is the one who inspired me into paddling when I was young. Check out my latest video!

Plus, I want to share an update about the family of baby foxes in my backyard.

In this video, I had mentioned the following episode about how I caught a carp before.

I have a Fish Tale (short story) for you about “the one that got away”. On this hot summer day, I do a combo adventure of biking and fishing, and I show you how I like using the KastKing Blackhawk II telescoping fishing rod. I demonstrate that it is small enough to carry on your cycling trip.

Plus, in this video, is a hungry, noisy Carolina Wren awaiting my return to fill the bird feeder.

On a nice sunny day, take a trail hike with me to the creek. In the first half of my video, I experiment with a little ASMR-type relaxing hiking and fishing, with much talking. Then the action starts, I use Blue Fox Vibrax Spinner and a live worm on a circle hook to catch Smallmouth Bass. With daylight quickly disappearing, I try my best to catch one more fish, and it ends up to be a new species, my first Sucker Fish!

At a small creek, I carefully cast my line around heavy tree cover to find aggressive Bluegill. Then, later, in the video, I test out the Berkley Powerbait Trout Worm, fake lure presentation, to see if it entices bites from fish. Am I able to catch anything in a shallow stream? Watch and find out :)

I have to abbreviate the fun due to an oncoming rainstorm and dangerous thunder. However, before that, I get nice underwater footage of a young Snapping Turtle that is curious about my camera and fishing activity. I never thought I would say that a Snapper is cute. But this turtle is truly cute!

Check out my video.

catch smallest bluegill challenge

Remember when you went fishing for Sunfish as a kid? In my video, I relive that experience by catching (and releasing) the small and aggressive species of Bluegill, Red Breast and Pumpkinseed because it is still fun for big kids too. I use light tackle while challenging myself to catch the smallest sunfish.

Rainbow Trout are a cold water fish that live in the ocean for about three years. They return to river tributaries to spawn. They are identified by their polka dots and pinkish color at the lateral line.
