fun things to do in the finger lakes – camping, hiking, paddling, fishing & farmers market
March 13, 2022

In this special edition, I take a road trip to the Finger Lakes region of New York State. I camp in a very modern cabin that looks like a tiny house in Buttermilk Falls State Park. On this adventure, I also hike the falls, paddle in the channels of Ithaca, visit the famous Farmers Market and do tiny fishing in Cayuta Lake. Check out my video and enjoy!

video: hike to creek & catch a new species (my first sucker fish)
September 12, 2021

On a nice sunny day, take a trail hike with me to the creek. In the first half of my video, I experiment with a little ASMR-type relaxing hiking and fishing, with much talking. Then the action starts, I use Blue Fox Vibrax Spinner and a live worm on a circle hook to catch Smallmouth Bass. With daylight quickly disappearing, I try my best to catch one more fish, and it ends up to be a new species, my first Sucker Fish!

A friend of mine is going away to college, and I will miss her. She is smart, bubbly and full of energy. Loves to tell me drama stories about life. But best of all, her smile is infectious.
I do a drawing to bid her farewell. She is standing at the foot of the famous Arches, because she loves to travel and to hike too. My illustration symbolizes her free-spirited attitude and to wish good luck on her new adventures.

How many times have you went fishing and only got one fish? Well, it happens to everybody, once and again, so don’t feel bad. In this video, I compile 3 moments, from the year, when it happened to me, but I saw it as a positive that I did not get skunked and I was able to catch something.
This video is a special edition of my Bite-sized Fishing series, meaning that I only catch one fish each time, but still fun! I show you the 3 ways I catch (and release) the fish. Check out my short video and enjoy.
Catch #1 – While pier fishing, I get a fat aggressive 9-inch Bluegill caught on a large crankbait.
Catch #2 – While bank fishing, I get another nice Bluegill, that is dark-colored, caught on a bobber rig with a Berkley worm.
Catch #3 – While canoe fishing, I get a 2-pound toothy Chain Pickerel that is caught with a Yozuri 3DB jerkbait.

video: one day in yosemite – bike & camp
January 19, 2020
Are you planning to visit Yosemite National Park? I have been there several times, thanks to my Dad. And I share what to do in the beautiful park, even if you only have one day to spare. In this video, I bike around Yosemite Village and in the scenic majestic valley, giving you a sampler of what Yosemite has to offer. Enjoy!
hiking: long path trail (fort lee, nj)
May 1, 2009
The Long Path trail, in Fort Lee, NJ, is reminiscent of Frodo’s trek to Mordor in Lord of the Rings… except without the fiery skies. It begins at 4000 feet high on the cliffs of the Palisades, and then descends to the river. Option 2: drive to the bottom where there is a boat landing parking area and climb up the trail. Option 3: hike both ways for a great workout on the gluteus maximus! A wonderful view of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge is the reward.
