cartoon: the anomaly
December 29, 2019
My characters are back :) This will be my last illustration… of the decade, that is! That sounds kinda sentimental doesn’t it? Well, it is, because 2020 is upon us. Drawing is one my favorite ways to end the year. I am also a fan of science fiction and technology. Do you notice the influence? Anyway, my cartoon takes us on an another adventure. Enjoy!
By the way, I want to thank my followers, readers, fellow bloggers and fellow creators for the likes, comments and for simply sharing! How will you celebrate the end of this year and decade? Let me know!
Happy New Decade, everybody!

drawing: camping
June 16, 2019
I did a cartoon drawing of camping for my friend’s birthday card. We used to camp together in great locations such as Cape Cod and Cape May. Unfortunately, he moved away which makes it more difficult to plan a trip. But alas, I still love to go camping. My most recent camping trip is to upstate New York. I have the chance to cook on the portable stove, tour a small town, do some canoe fishing and simply breathe the fresh air. If you like the outdoors and camping, check out my short video . What is your favorite thing to do when camping? Let me know :)

In case you didn’t know… I enjoy fishing and drawing. I felt it was about time to combine my two pleasures in my cartoon. My characters, who love fresh sushi, go on a boat to catch the big one. To their surprise, they reel in something much bigger than they expected.
Happy New Years everybody!

I did a cartoon drawing for my friend’s birthday. He is from Britain and loves the Vespa scooter. One day, he wants to get the classic scooter. But for now, I hope he likes my card drawing.

At the end of every year, I draw my little cartoon, turning it into a holiday card. I share it with friends and family, in hopes to bring a smile, but I feel like I am the only one left who sends cards. Writing and sending physical cards is a dying art.
Over the holiday, I went to the Postal Museum in Washington DC. I remember when collecting stamps was a cool thing to do. I collected them as a youth and I still do. I definitely recommend you check the museum out if you are in the area. And maybe try stamp collecting yourself (or with your child). It’s a great way to learn about history and the world. There are so many subjects such as nature (flowers, birds, national parks), pop culture (Elvis, Wonder Woman), and important figures (JFK, Amelia Earhart). It was nice to reminisce, at the museum, how important writing and sending physical letters were, before everything went digital.
Anyway, back to my card writing, over time, my cartoon has become less Christmasy and more of a way to flesh out my characters through stories. It makes me happy to share something creative and then at least I receive words of appreciation, not by a card, but by a text message. Oh well. It’s better than nothing I suppose.
This year, my cartoon comes with a special message.
Happy 2018 Everybody!
