While canoe fishing, I try out Berkley Powerbait Trout Nibbles, in chartreuse color, for Bluegill. I am pleasantly surprised that a couple of Big Bass are interested in the tiny dough bait too! Plus, I get a sighting of a Kingfisher and American Coot birds on the lake.

Over the frigid winter, my turtle caught a cold. If your pet turtle is sneezing, that is bad news, because that means it has a cold. It could turn into a lung infection if not treated early. And unfortunately, there is no home remedy to a cure the problem. In a video, I show you how to bring it back to a healthy happy turtle.

Don’t worry this story has a happy ending. Check out my short video.

Happy Easter Everybody!

When it is near the time to refresh the aquarium water, one of the favorite routines for my pet turtles is when I give them a feast of different foods. It’s like a buffet for the turtles including pellets, superworms, lettuce and nightcrawlers. For changing the water afterwards, I use a rounded water basin which is perfect for emptying the tank. That is, if you don’t have a siphoning set up.

My cat joins in on the action, and helps me care for the turtles too!

While fishing for Bluegill and Panfish, I catch My First Carp by chance! I use a 6 1/2 foot long Fenwick Eagle 2-piece rod, 8 pound line and size 10 circle hook on a dropshot rig. I believe I am able to catch and reel in this awesome fish because I use a worm, the water is murky, and I handle it nice and slowly.

Check out my action-packed video.

As a bass fisherman, perhaps I caught lightening in a bottle? If you caught a fish in an unconventional way, let me know in the comments.

using hummingbird to find fishing spots

‪If you go to a lake or river that you are not familiar with, using a fish finder is a useful tool. It helps to let you know how deep the water is, what the structure is below, and the temperature, not to mention if there are fish in the area. Today, I use the Humminbird Fish Finder and see if I can find some good spots to catch fish.‬

See how I use a depth finder in action in my video :)  Also, in this video, I catch the biggest Pumpkinseed Sunfish!

how i cut my cats nails

And now for something completely different. I made a video of How I Cut My Cat’s Nails. My video channel is mostly about the Outdoors & Nature, so I would like to categorize this one under Animals & Nature? Anyway, I usually spend a lot of time editing my stories, but this cat video is rather straight forward of me talking with my cats.

This is my contribution to the world that always needs fun cat videos. Check out my short video . Let me know what you think. Enjoy!

catch smallest bluegill challenge

Remember when you went fishing for Sunfish as a kid? In my video, I relive that experience by catching (and releasing) the small and aggressive species of Bluegill, Red Breast and Pumpkinseed because it is still fun for big kids too. I use light tackle while challenging myself to catch the smallest sunfish.

basking log for pet turtles

When caring for Turtles or any reptile, provide a spot for basking under a heat lamp and UV lamp. Even better, position the aquarium near a window for natural sunlight, if possible. In this video, I try out two kinds of log platforms – fake and real options, which turtles can enjoy and rest between swimming in the tank. Check out my video and enjoy!

clean and condition aquarium

Hey animal lovers. This is my latest short video on caring for your pet turtles. In this episode, I show you an efficient way to clean your aquarium. In addition, I show you how to re-condition the water because, straight out of the tap, levels of chlorine and pH is not the best for turtles, frogs and salamanders to drink and/or swim in. It is an easy step that your pets will appreciate, when being cared for in a tank.

My cat, Mochi, joins in on the action. She wants to be on video too, ya know. Enjoy!
