Hey animal and turtle lovers. It is Turtle Time! Sadly, my aquarium filter finally kicked the bucket. So now my pet turtles need a new filter. I test out the Fluval U4. Is it the best underwater aquarium filter for pet turtles?

During my test, I share a simple hack tip for saving money on carbon cartridges. Also, in this episode, have you ever seen a Cat Turtle?

During a trip to see family, I carry the Fenwick Eagle 3-Piece Fishing Rod and use it for saltwater fishing. I try to catch a big fish for my father’s birthday but fail. However, I do catch a new species called Surf Perch, the smallest Fluke ever, and a nice Rock Cod. How does the travel rod handle and is it worth carrying around? Please feel free to check out my video!

Plus, I share a few quick family highlights because, well… this is a trip to see my father, my brother and nephew, after all :)

Summer is almost over but fishing is still hot, and so is the weather. After a recent rainstorm, I test out the Berkley Gulp Alive Jigging Grubs to see if it can catch Bluegill in dark dirty water. Plus, let’s watch two kinds of fireworks, from the brilliance of 4th of July to the natural glow of Fireflies at dusk.

In this episode of my Bite-sized Fishing series, I wonder if there are fish in an urban shallow dead canal. I toss a tiny jig with a fake worm to see if there is anything down there. Also in this video, I am surrounded by a variety of birds, big frogs and a turtle, enjoying life near the water.

On this warmish Autumn day, I do canoe/kayak fishing for panfish. I test which bait performs better, a short Powerbait Floating Trout Worm (1.5 inches) or a long Reins Shaker worm (2.5 inches). The trick is to find out what the fish want, from day to day. Watch what happens in my video as I try both worms out.

Plus, I see several happy Painted Turtles enjoying this Indian Summer Day in the Fall time.

While canoe fishing, I test out the Berkley Powerbait Power Grubs 2-inch, in white color. Can I catch Panfish with the bait, or is it too big?

Plus, I see a White Pekin Duck that is a rare sight in my local park, let alone my area. Watch the duck and it’s sexy waddle!

Check out my test of this versatile artificial lure in my video!

For fishing, I mainly use Daiwa reels, which is my favorite, but I want to try a different, yet comparable spinning reel by the brand Lews. I test out the new Lews Custom Pro Reel, TLC-3000, paired with my St. Croix rod, to catch my first few bass on the setup. Check out my video to see how the new reel fairs.

Did you know that fish like to eat cheese? Well, there is a Berkley Gulp Pinched Crawler that is infused with cheese flavor. I test and review the bait to see if it can catch Crappie fish.

Also, have you ever heard a bird that can chirp 1000 different songs? Listen to a Brown Thrasher!

Join me and let’s see if this artificial lure can catch fish in my video!

While canoe/kayak fishing, I put Fenwick Eagle 2-Piece rod to the test to see if I can pull in a powerful fish. The quality spinning rod is medium fast with excellent feedback, but how is its strength? I hope to catch a bass, but I end up fighting a fish that is even stronger, heavier and quite possibly my personal best in weight!

Plus, I get a sighting of several Bald Eagles, flying, perched and… walking?!

Check out my video, and enjoy.

This is a 2-for-1 video for those who like to go bicycling, including a test of the Yakima Fork Chop accessory, and my hot pick of a bike path on the Erie Canal. The Fork Chop is a simple attachment for carrying a bicycle on your Yakima car rack. If you like multi-day bike rides, then the 350-mile long Erie Canal Bikeway is for you, and I give you a sampler of the Mohawk-Hudson section near Schenectady, New York.

Also, in this video, I take a closer look at the amazing Dam & Lock system on the Mohawk River, and I try a little quick fishing.

Check out my review of the Yakima Jetstream Bike Rack Review also.
