September 9, 2022

While seeking pan fish, I encounter a school of Carp passing nearby, and I decide to use Strike King 1/32 oz jighead and tip it with a Mini Tail tube lure by Creme. Can I get a reaction bite from the elusive carp with an artificial bait? Watch and find out in this special episode of sight fishing. Plus, in this video, there are a couple of turtle sightings!

video: winter canoe fishing before lake freeze, first catch of year & kingfisher sighting
January 23, 2022

Welcome to my Bite-sized Fishing series in the New Year! This is the latest in the winter season I try to catch Bluegill and Perch, before the lake turns to ice. Plus, I get some sightings of the awesome Kingfisher bird while on the water.
This was filmed in the week after New Years Day when there was a warmish day of 48 degrees. I brave it because there is no wind to ruin my canoeing experience. I simply use a live worm as bait because none of the fish were interested in artificial baits, this time.

everglades (part 3): wildlife illustration
May 23, 2020
The Florida Everglades is home to many unique fauna and flora. I created a 2-D diorama illustration, featuring nature that is native to the wetlands. The print size is 11×17 on 13×19 paper. It includes the Alligator, birds, turtles and fish. All thriving along the Mangroves.
As a bonus, there is an accompanying animal identification chart on 8 x 10 size print, naming the Everglades flora and fauna. I was inspired by seeing museum dioramas of animal life in their environment. I match them up by shape and numbers. The print is available at my shop. Check it out :)
This is the last element in the Everglades outdoor and nature series. I hope you enjoyed my videos and artwork!
By the way, can you name any of the animals in the drawing?
During the state lockdown, I let my pet turtles out of their aquarium to have a nice meal. I also take them outside to get fresh air and natural sunlight.
Check out my video to get your mind off of things right now :) Enjoy!
video: provide a basking area for your pet turtle
February 23, 2020
When caring for Turtles or any reptile, provide a spot for basking under a heat lamp and UV lamp. Even better, position the aquarium near a window for natural sunlight, if possible. In this video, I try out two kinds of log platforms – fake and real options, which turtles can enjoy and rest between swimming in the tank. Check out my video and enjoy!

the floating snapper & turtle feeder test
February 18, 2019
Oh Snap! I saw this Snapping Turtle while I was canoeing. Who knew that Snappers can float? She was giant too. I am glad she wasn’t hungry enough to eat my boat :)
By the way, do you have an aquarium with a pet turtle or fish? Do you ever wonder how to feed your pets while you go away on vacation? Well, you don’t have to hire a costly pet sitter. In my video, I show you a device that dispenses pellet food on a timer and my experience with it. Enjoy!
