What makes the Ned Rig so successful? The secret is in the short, but fat size of the soft plastic which is perfect, under 3-iinches, for catching Bass and even aggressive Sunfish. Instead of using the rubber worm in the traditional Ned Rig method, I simply put the bait on a weedless Keitech hook and just watch the fish jump on it!

Plus, in this video, I get my first sighting of a live eel. A very interesting looking creature to see in person.

Check out my video.
Enjoy and Happy Labor Day weekend everybody!

canoe panfishing on windy day

Have you wondered if there are fish around on a day of high winds (20+ mph)? If you like to go canoe and kayak fishing and can brave the choppy waters, I would recommend to find the protected part of the lake for the best enjoyment of being out in the elements.

I take this challenge and try my best to find panfish. Will I succeed? Watch my video and find out!

Are you planning to visit Yosemite National Park? I have been there several times, thanks to my Dad. And I share what to do in the beautiful park, even if you only have one day to spare. In this video, I bike around Yosemite Village and in the scenic majestic valley, giving you a sampler of what Yosemite has to offer. Enjoy!

I made a short video, showing a new tackle box that is simple and can hold a lot of fishing lures. Plus, my cats choose a lure for me to use to catch Bluegill.

Enjoy. Thanks for watching!

sketch: iphone

I gave an iTunes gift card to my friend for the holidays, and he was wondering how to use the gift card directly with his iPhone because he is rarely home.  It is a good question, and yes, it is possible.  Note: if you want to purchase a file larger than 10MB such as certain heavy Apps, you will have to use your computer to download it.  If you do wirelessly download songs or Apps directly to the iPhone over 3G or Wi-fi, remember to backup those files to a computer.  I did a drawing and put together simple step-by-step instructions here…

How to redeem an iTunes gift card on your iPhone.

for Apps:
– Go to the app store > featured > new
– Scroll all the way to the bottom until you see “redeem”
– Press “redeem” and enter the iTunes gift card number

for Music:
– Go to the iTunes store > music > new releases
– Scroll all the way to the bottom until you see “redeem”
– Press “redeem” and enter the iTunes gift card number
