While canoe fishing, I try out Berkley Powerbait Trout Nibbles, in chartreuse color, for Bluegill. I am pleasantly surprised that a couple of Big Bass are interested in the tiny dough bait too! Plus, I get a sighting of a Kingfisher and American Coot birds on the lake.

While canoe fishing at a new lake, I encounter the Brood X Cicadas! Some people are afraid of these creepy little critters, but they are actually harmless and friendly! Let’s take a closeup look at the amazing bugs that only appear every 17 years, and then go fishing!

It has been a very rainy Spring and on a drizzly overcast day, the fish are hiding from another oncoming storm. As I am tired of waiting for a sunny day, I take the challenge to locate fish, from my canoe/kayak, and end up getting small fish, but it is multi-species fun action! Plus, while on the water, I love seeing turtles, and I get pretty close to an eagle.

Recently, I catch big healthy Yellow Perch in crystal clear waters of a mountain lake. The Yellow Perch I catch in urban waters are much smaller in comparison. Today, I find fish by using my Humminbird Fishin Buddy. I use the Ned Rig and feel bites, then switch to the dropshot.

Plus, I show off the Humminbird fish finder to my paddling friend and she is impressed by it. Join us in our little adventure.

Thank you for watching everybody!

small vs big crankbait challenge

Which lure catches more fish, a small or big crankbait? I do a personal challenge by using both a micro Bagley Rattlin Honey B and a Rapala BX Brat, and see which gets more Bass and Bluegill. Note: This is not a scientific test, but just having a fun activity while fishing.

Check out my video challenge!
