Inspired by my dog, a Shiba Inu, I created this dog head out of paper mache with a cartoonish style. Doesn’t she look happy?

This was a fun project for the holidays.  The goal was to indicate the feeling of Christmas without being too literal.  Plus, I wanted to create more action and adventure in my mini cartoon.

I got a tablet, recently.  It feels weird to use, at first.  As a first sketch, I draw my dog.  Stand still, please.  Stay… stay.

cartoon: tasty treats

My dog has a mind of her own.  In fact, the Shiba Inu breed is very cat-like.  I mean they can be independent.  So when I take her for a walk, she takes her time, sniffs every inch of the way.  I drew this cartoon in hopes to capture our routine.  I want to go one way, and she wants to go the other way.
