illustration: a young couple

I had the pleasure of being asked to do a drawing for a young guy recently. He had seen illustrations at my store, and I thought he was going to request an Outdoor or Nature-related theme, which is my expertise. However, I was surprised when he handed me a photo of him and his girlfriend, all dressed up at a formal event. I happily did the job, and I created the portrait of them in my style, with a touch of anime. I gave it to him in time for the holidays. He gave it to his girlfriend, in a frame, and they both simply loved it! What do you think?

sketch: cat eyes

My cat, Mochi is always on high alert. She is startled by the slightest sound. She posed for my portrait drawing while she stared at birds outside the window. And as you can see, she has the biggest eyes.

Yes, I named my cat after the delicious Japanese ice cream dessert :)
