drawing: giant tortoise
March 6, 2022

I’ve been meaning to draw a Galapagos Turtle for a while. Here, the Giant Tortoise finds a lone berry tree. The tree is just big enough as a snack for this big turtle’s appetite.
Please feel free to check out my other outdoor and nature drawings at my shop.

illustration: the largemouth bass
October 15, 2021

As you may know, I do enjoy fishing. But did you know I like to draw too? When I went canoeing, Largemouth Bass have been elusive to me at the lakes. I only caught a handful this year. So today, I wanted to do a sketch of a lunker of a Bass. I’ve done a bunch of drawings of bass before, but this one I am happiest with because it has a big open mouth in action, and a big fat belly! What do you think?
sketch: tennis ready
March 14, 2021

Spring is around the corner and there is more daylight, now that we spring forward our clocks! To me, that means, I can play tennis again (not to mention paddling and fishing too). Yay! The great outdoors is my gym, so I can finally get in shape again. In celebration, I do a drawing of a player that is ready to do a serve. If you’d like to see more of my drawings, please check out my store :)
What activities are you looking forward to do as the weather warms up? Let me know!
Happy Spring Everybody!
illustration: a young couple
December 26, 2020

I had the pleasure of being asked to do a drawing for a young guy recently. He had seen illustrations at my store, and I thought he was going to request an Outdoor or Nature-related theme, which is my expertise. However, I was surprised when he handed me a photo of him and his girlfriend, all dressed up at a formal event. I happily did the job, and I created the portrait of them in my style, with a touch of anime. I gave it to him in time for the holidays. He gave it to his girlfriend, in a frame, and they both simply loved it! What do you think?
Anyway, Happy Holidays everybody!
sketch: yellow perch
December 12, 2020

The Yellow Perch is a fish species found in North American rivers and lakes. They are a beautiful fish adorned with orange fins and a tiger-like pattern on its body. They are a cold-water fish, so they can be enjoyed for sporting well into the winter for ice fishing. Yellow Perch are probably the best tasting freshwater fish too, especially cooked in a fish fry.
This is my sketch of a Yellow Perch in all its vivid glory. I feature my drawing in my fishing video on my channel, about panfishing with fake maggots. Check it out if you haven’t already! My video is action-packed!
sketch: bluegill
June 28, 2020
As small as the Bluegill is, this sunfish has an amazing spectrum of colors. It’s like a jewel that is often overlooked and underappreciated from our rivers and lakes. Watch out when giving them a worm while fishing, they have an attitude of a shark!
This is my lazy Sunday sketch. Happy weekend all.
sketch: tennis bounce ball
January 26, 2020
G’day Mate! The Australian Open is happening down under now. All of the best tennis players, such as Osaka, Barty, Nadal and Federer, gather from around the world to compete on the biggest court stage. It is probably my favorite tennis tournament. Not just because it is a beautiful location but it is known as the “Happy Slam”. This is my drawing of a player bouncing the ball before a serve.
Who do you want to win?
