can my fish finder help target fall bluegill in choppy water?
December 14, 2022

On a cold and windy Fall day, I go canoe fishing for Bluegill. I use the Humminbird Fishin Buddy depth finder to help me target the elusive fish in choppy waters.
Still, it is a nice time to go fishing, enjoy the Autumn leaves, see a big family of swan, see a turtle and watch the beautiful sunset. Plus, what does my cat see? Check it all out in my video!

In this Halloween special episode, I go paddling with my friend at a lake that is beautiful, but is very weedy for fishing. I try to break THE CURSE of being skunked at this lake before, by using shallow swimming lures, including a mini chatterbait and a tiny crankbait. As a bonus, let’s watch the stunning fall foliage, shop at a local farmers market and go to New York Comicon!
Check out my special video.

video: catch a winter big carp challenge + chatty blackbirds
February 11, 2022

This episode is filmed in the Winter which can be tough for fishing in general. It is a 48-degree day, and I challenge myself to try to catch a Carp, which are a big-sized fish, from my canoe. Can I catch a carp with stealth, persistence and a lot of patience? Check out my video :)
Plus, I see a cluster of noisy blackbirds in the trees.
video: fall panfishing artificial worm: short or long bait? + painted turtles hang out
November 15, 2021

On this warmish Autumn day, I do canoe/kayak fishing for panfish. I test which bait performs better, a short Powerbait Floating Trout Worm (1.5 inches) or a long Reins Shaker worm (2.5 inches). The trick is to find out what the fish want, from day to day. Watch what happens in my video as I try both worms out.
Plus, I see several happy Painted Turtles enjoying this Indian Summer Day in the Fall time.

November 29, 2020

In this episode of my Bite-sized Fishing series, I only have a limited time to go canoe/kayak fishing before sunset. I try using real and fake worms to catch whatever will bite this late Fall, in this quick personal challenge. Which bait will catch the biggest fish? Watch my video and find out!
Plus, my backyard is over-populated by a horde of migrating Starling birds! There are so many that they start attacking my bird feeder.

video: catch 3 fish before sunset challenge
October 25, 2020

Do you fish whenever you can, even if there is limited time? Well, I like to go fishing, sometimes after work, so I challenge myself to try to catch at least three fish before sunset. It is Fall time, meaning the day is even shorter and I only have about an hour to achieve my goal.
Will I catch at least three fish? Check out my video and find out :)
Plus, I see one of the last Monarch Butterflies of the year, gliding in the air, enjoying life.
video: small vs big lure challenge
August 9, 2020
Which lure catches more fish, a small or big crankbait? I do a personal challenge by using both a micro Bagley Rattlin Honey B and a Rapala BX Brat, and see which gets more Bass and Bluegill. Note: This is not a scientific test, but just having a fun activity while fishing.
Check out my video challenge!
