fun things to do in the finger lakes – camping, hiking, paddling, fishing & farmers market
March 13, 2022

In this special edition, I take a road trip to the Finger Lakes region of New York State. I camp in a very modern cabin that looks like a tiny house in Buttermilk Falls State Park. On this adventure, I also hike the falls, paddle in the channels of Ithaca, visit the famous Farmers Market and do tiny fishing in Cayuta Lake. Check out my video and enjoy!

Are you planning to visit Yosemite National Park? I have been there several times, thanks to my Dad. And I share what to do in the beautiful park, even if you only have one day to spare. In this video, I bike around Yosemite Village and in the scenic majestic valley, giving you a sampler of what Yosemite has to offer. Enjoy!

I did a cartoon drawing of camping for my friend’s birthday card. We used to camp together in great locations such as Cape Cod and Cape May. Unfortunately, he moved away which makes it more difficult to plan a trip. But alas, I still love to go camping. My most recent camping trip is to upstate New York. I have the chance to cook on the portable stove, tour a small town, do some canoe fishing and simply breathe the fresh air. If you like the outdoors and camping, check out my short video . What is your favorite thing to do when camping? Let me know :)
video: canoeing in search of the loon
March 17, 2019
While canoeing in the Upstate New York, I made a short video about my search of the elusive Loon bird. During the trip, I also visit an Outdoor Store, go Camping, and do some Fishing. Plus, I catch a new fish, my first Chub. Check it out and Enjoy!
Have you ever heard a Loon call?

casita trailer & the adirondacks
October 6, 2018
I recently went on a camping trip to the Adirondacks. Car camping, that is. Access to a real bathroom is one luxury I can’t do without. Anyway, I couldn’t help but notice a cute tiny trailer in a nearby site. It is called the Casita. It is small but is complete with a bed, air conditioning and propane stove. Talk about luxury :) So… I had to draw it!
I’m sorry that I haven’t been posting art as often as I used to. The reason is I have been dedicating more time to my video channel. Creating content and editing the footage takes a lot of time. And so my artwork has suffered I guess. But then again, making video is a form of being creative too. Right? So I figured why not add it to my blog website.
Both my artwork and my videos mostly fall under a common theme – the Outdoors and Nature. I want to officially introduce my videos on a more regular basis. Without further ado, below is a video I made about Camping and Canoeing in the Adirondacks. It features a glimpse of what camping is like near the popular Northern Forest Canoe Trail and includes the Casita trailer that I saw. Please feel free to Subscribe & Like it if you think I did a good job (fingers crossed). Happy Fall everybody!

The Winnebago was a unique looking RV from the late 60’s with its strange polygonal shapes. It continued to be popular into the 70’s and 80’s. The brand was unmistakable. It had a “flying W” logo that stretched the entire length of the mobile home. A more contemporary, cooler-looking version of the Winnebago appeared in the movie Space Balls… with wings too.

The awesome Airstream recreational vehicles have an unmistakeable look. Even in the 1930’s when they began, Airstreams were futuristic with the chrome reflective exterior and rounded corners.
Airstreams were used by NASA in the 1960’s to put astronauts from space in quarantine during a time when the world was afraid of martian stuff. Airstreams have such a caché that they appeared in hollywood movies, like in Armageddon, and tv, most recently in the Mentalist, which Partrick Jane lived in for the final season.
This drawing of mine is of a modern Airstream model. It is super cute, being the smallest and lightest model, called the Sport. However, the Sport is not the cheapest of RV’s, coming in at above $30,000.

While camping in Lake Tahoe, I did a couple of sketches – one from the top most viewpoint of the Emerald Bay campground and one of a pine tree next to my tent site.
