The Florida Everglades is home to many unique fauna and flora. I created a 2-D diorama illustration, featuring nature that is native to the wetlands. The print size is 11×17 on 13×19 paper. It includes the Alligator, birds, turtles and fish. All thriving along the Mangroves.

As a bonus, there is an accompanying animal identification chart on 8 x 10 size print, naming the Everglades flora and fauna. I was inspired by seeing museum dioramas of animal life in their environment. I match them up by shape and numbers. The print is available at my shop. Check it out :)

This is the last element in the Everglades outdoor and nature series. I hope you enjoyed my videos and artwork!

By the way, can you name any of the animals in the drawing?

Florida is a haven for exotic wildlife. What animal do you think of when you think of Florida? Perhaps Alligators? Here’ s my drawing of an Alligator relaxing in the mangroves. Does it look like a happy gator?

In my video, I visit the Everglades, a massive preserve of beautiful nature. And since Florida is also known for its amazing fishing. I find a spot to fish. I am ecstatic because with almost every cast, I get a Bass. Meanwhile, I have to watch out for hungry Alligators lurking nearby! The Largemouth I catch are medium-sized. I don’t get the quality big ones, but I do get the quantity.

Check out my video on Exploring the Everglades: Fishing with Hungry Alligators Nearby.

This is part 1 of 2 on my trip to the Everglades. Part 2 will be about some facts on the National Park and my search for more amazing wildlife, such as exotic birds, more alligators and of course, turtles!

This is my first combo-post of my art and video creation :)
(I briefly feature my art in the video too)

Let me know what you think. Enjoy!

I spent some time in the Florida, documenting various wildlife with photography and drawing. I was most anxious to see an alligator in the flesh… err, in the scales, rather. It would have been a shame to go all the way to Florida and not see gators. Well, the Everglades has an abundance of these smiling massive reptiles, basking in the sun. They are practically posing for you.

Still, alligators are not the only exotic animals to see. Visitors from everywhere come here to experience world-class bird watching. I come here more to fish watch and reptile watch. My next priority after seeing gators was to spot turtles. Again, this National Park did not disappoint. I saw dinosaur-sized turtles.

Here is my sketch (a work in progress) which is a snapshot of an Everglades scene. It includes mangroves, a soft-shelled turtle and of course, a gator. The proximity of this many animals in one area is really not unheard of, in the Glades.
