catch catfish with plastic baits (+road trip with pet cats)

Most fishermen use chopped bait for catching catfish, but I like to use plastic baits by Berkley because it works, it is easier to handle and it is not as messy. I cast for bottom feeders in the river from my canoe. During this getaway, I travel with my pet cats and show you a place that is nice for those who are cat lovers, the furry kind, that is.

can my fish finder help target fall bluegill in choppy water?

On a cold and windy Fall day, I go canoe fishing for Bluegill. I use the Humminbird Fishin Buddy depth finder to help me target the elusive fish in choppy waters.

Still, it is a nice time to go fishing, enjoy the Autumn leaves, see a big family of swan, see a turtle and watch the beautiful sunset. Plus, what does my cat see? Check it all out in my video!

kokopelli packraft: i try paddling, fishing & birdwatching in the small boat

Here is a mini adventure where I show you what it is like paddling in a Kokopelli Rogue Lite Packraft, and I try to catch fish from it (although they are tiny). Plus, there are so many birds at the lake, so let’s do some birdwatching and enjoy nature.

curse of the weedy lake fishing (halloween special) & let’s go to comic con

In this Halloween special episode, I go paddling with my friend at a lake that is beautiful, but is very weedy for fishing. I try to break THE CURSE of being skunked at this lake before, by using shallow swimming lures, including a mini chatterbait and a tiny crankbait. As a bonus, let’s watch the stunning fall foliage, shop at a local farmers market and go to New York Comicon!

i try out fenwick 3-piece rod on trip + visit family vlog

During a trip to see family, I carry the Fenwick Eagle 3-Piece Fishing Rod and use it for saltwater fishing. I try to catch a big fish for my father’s birthday but fail. However, I do catch a new species called Surf Perch, the smallest Fluke ever, and a nice Rock Cod. How does the travel rod handle and is it worth carrying around? tiny berkley powerbait trout nibbles for nice bluegill AND big bass?

While canoe fishing, I try out Berkley Powerbait Trout Nibbles, in chartreuse color, for Bluegill. I am pleasantly surprised that a couple of Big Bass are interested in the tiny dough bait too! Plus, I get a sighting of a Kingfisher and American Coot birds on the lake.

While seeking pan fish, I encounter a school of Carp passing nearby, and I decide to use Strike King 1/32 oz jighead and tip it with a Mini Tail tube lure by Creme. red breast sunfish fun, mini plastic worm for bass test & watch the supermoon

I found 3-Inch Senkos in the bargain bin, and then they ended up lost at the bottom of my tackle box… until now. While canoe/kayak panfishing, I test out the miniature green pumpkin (brown) senkos to see if Smallmouth are interested in them. Plus, let’s enjoy the beauty of the giant Supermoon.

Summer is almost over but fishing is still hot, and so is the weather. After a recent rainstorm, I test out the Berkley Gulp Alive Jigging Grubs to see if it can catch Bluegill in dark dirty water.
