Do you like to do outdoor activities like biking, kayaking or skiing? Well, roof top car racks make it easier to carry your gear to your favorite destinations. Personally, I need a way to transport my canoe, so I decide to get the latest aerodynamic crossbars, the Jetstream bars by Yakima. The product is a bit complicated to install and is rather pricey, but it is worth it if you do a lot of stuff outdoors.

Check out my experience and review of the Yakima Jetstream in my video :) What kind of gear would you like to bring with you on your road trip?

The Volkswagen Beetle has come a long way from being a concept of Hitler’s in the 1930’s. Originally called the Volkswagen Type 1, it was born from the need of a cheap and simplistic car design, yet powerful enough to travel on the Autobahn.

From out of the darkness of WWII, however, the Bug is adopted as a symbol of Peace. And now, a fun way to get to your favorite activity destination. Am I starting to sound like a car commercial?

My drawing is based on the new Beetle that was re-introduced to the world in 1998 (including a cool mountain bike).

I’ve been seeing a lot of Subaru Outbacks on the road. They are a very functional outdoor vehicle. Dare I call it a ‘station wagon’ like my dad used for vacation trips?  Anyway, in my drawing of the Subaru, I added some much needed car top decoration.

It’s a lazy Sunday. Though, still a great time to take the bike out and hit a trail.
Here’s my drawing of the lovable Mini Cooper.

Happy 4th of July weekend y’all!

Although I never had a VW Bus, I remember seeing them. They simply bring back memories just by being around on the roads when I was younger. It has lots of room inside and plenty of windows for the sun to shine through, and has that cool sliding side door. Usually painted in pastel colors, sometimes they come in a white top. Plus, it is family-sized, which is so fun to get everybody in for a road trip, even if it just for getting soft serve ice cream. Just puts a smile on faces wherever it goes.

The NY Auto Show is so much more pleasurable on a weekday, than a weekend. I went on a Tuesday. It gave me the chance to try out an all-terrain vehicle simulator with virtually no waiting time. And the freedom to run around like a kid in a candy store.

I did a quick sketch (below) of the convertible Aston Martin. Shaken, not stirred.

Tip: When ordering online, use your AAA membership for a $2 off of admission to the NY International Auto Show at Jacob Javits. Code: aaa

Below includes pics of the new 2010 3rd generation Toyota Prius, Chevrolet Camaro, a purple Mustang and, of course, the adorable Mini Cooper.

One of the ways I judge which is a good car, is by how many (if any) cupholders it has.  The Mini Cooper has two easily accessible cupholders.  Sadly, the Prius only has one cupholder in the front.
