I hope you get lots of nice candy and chocolate! Happy Halloween Everybody!

st croix travel rod

In my latest Outdoor & Nature video, I test out the strength of a 2-piece travel rod by St. Croix brand. Just to let you know, a 2-piece fishing rod is good for portability, but it is not normally as strong as a 1-piece. I get to see if it can handle aggressive fish from Sunfish to Bass to the powerful Northern Pike!

When I launch my Canoe at a river, it is usually uneventful. But suddenly, I find myself surrounded by thousands of Blackbirds. So in the spirit of Halloween, here is my video. Don’t be too scared. Blackbirds are harmless. Or are they?!

Happy Halloween y’all!

My cat drawing is quite devilish. Halloween is almost here. Do you have your costume yet? What are going to be this year?

yakima rack review

Do you like to do outdoor activities like biking, kayaking or skiing? Well, roof top car racks make it easier to carry your gear to your favorite destinations. Personally, I need a way to transport my canoe, so I decide to get the latest aerodynamic crossbars, the Jetstream bars by Yakima. The product is a bit complicated to install and is rather pricey, but it is worth it if you do a lot of stuff outdoors.

Check out my experience and review of the Yakima Jetstream in my video :) What kind of gear would you like to bring with you on your road trip?

sketch: tennis postcards

I have been building a collection of tennis sketches over time. I look back at my early drawings and think, oh my god, what was I thinking? Needless to say, my earlier work left a lot to desire.

I’ve always observed tennis players as good exercises in figure drawing. As they say, draw what you enjoy. Right?

More recently, I am happier with the results of my studies in proportion and action, and I decided that they are finally worthy enough to make into prints. I also left my sketches as line drawings, without painting them, keeping it raw and simple. Kind of a departure from my other subject matter. In fact, they are now available at my store as a set of 4 postcards. Check it out :)

What do you you think?
