video: hold a giant bass and eagle sighting!

May 26, 2019

While Canoeing recently, I experience two wonders. I catch and hold a giant 5 pound Bass (and release). And then, I am so glad I have my binoculars because I’m blessed with a sighting of majestic bald Eagles. The eagles had created an enormous nest as they are soon-to-be parents of baby eagles :)

Happy Memorial Weekend Everybody!

  1. I’m not sure where you live, but the Bald Eagles are making a very remarkable comback across all of Eastern North America, including up here in the Province of Ontario.

Hi Shawn. I live in a heavily urban region near NYC so it is very rare to see Eagles, let alone nesting too. Glad to hear eagles are flourishing in your area!

  2. Amazing picture of the Bald Eagle!

  3. Gorgeous capture of your Eagle, Al! ❤ For some reason, I couldn’t get the video to play. :-(

    • Hold on, it was me, duh. Watching video now….

      • Congrats on that big mouth bass catch too, wow! Always fun getting a personal best catch or shot!! :-) Enjoyed the Eagles in the video as well. And if you look back at the nest real close, at the 20 second mark, you’ll see a head pop down. I think there’s at least one Eaglet already in that nest for the proud parents. :-) Return there in 1-2 months since you did this trip, you’ll probably find Eaglets perching in and on the nest sides.

Im so glad you were able to view my video and that you spotted a baby. I didnt even see that! That makes sense that the parents are guarding the nest because a baby is home 😀 I definitely will check on them again 👍🏼 Thanks so much Donna❗️
