The Olympics have been a joy to watch, and for me, a great way to practice figural drawing in action. Racing for the finish line, my drawing is of a cross-country skier going for the Gold.

Did you get to see the less popular spectator sports such as Biathlon and Cross-country skiing? And who knew that pushing a rock and sweeping, called Curling, could be such a nail-biting experience?

We are halfway through the Winter Olympics, and it’s been a blast already. My drawing is dedicated to the amazing ability and strength it takes to be an Olympic athlete, such as an alpine skier, under so much pressure. Which sport has you gripped to the edge of your seat?

diamondback terrapin

Diamondbacks are some of the most beautifully decorated creatures in the Terrapin family. My illustration displays the brilliant orange crystalline-like scutes on the carapace of the shell, although the turtle appears in a wide variety of patterns and colors. They can be observed in the brackish marshes and rivers in the Chesapeake Bay. With their strong horned beak, they like to feed on mollusks and crustaceans.

For my pet turtles, which are Red-Eared Sliders, I made a video on How To Clean Your Turtle Tank. Please feel free to check it out and let me know what you think! https://youtu.be/z8J7UED_F9U

This is my little drawing of a Red-Eared Turtle, commonly found in the fresh waters of North America. It is inspired by my pet turtles.

It has been a rather cold winter and I made a short video of How to Keep Your Turtle Warm. If you have pet reptiles and an aquarium too, please feel free to check it out: https://youtu.be/yJQiEjiZ5bY

Let me know what you think :)
