illustration: channel catfish

March 21, 2014

This is my drawing of a Channel Catfish. Catfish are omnivorous bottom feeders, mostly living in slow-moving rivers. They spawn in late spring when the water temperature reaches 75 degrees. Although catfish have very poor vision, that have help finding food in muddy waters through the use of their barbels, or whiskers.
