The Olympics have come to a close, but winter carries on, here in the Northeast. It seems like we’ve had a snowstorm every week, this season. I know it’s not impressive compared to Colorado, but for New York city, it almost breaks records. The total this winter, so far, is 56.6 inches, making for very good conditions in skiing, snowboarding and snowball fights.
This is my drawing of a downhill skiier, inspired by the Olympic competition of the Super-G where speed and perfectly timed snow carving dictate the chance of winning a medal by hudredths of a second.

The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi added a new event called Slope Style for snowboarders and skiers. Slope style presentation is more inline, as opposed to alternating jumps on opposite ends of a half-pipe.
This is my drawing of a snowboarder doing a front grab Ollie. It is included in my set of Winter sport postcards in my store.
