The end of HD-DVD

At this week’s CES in Las Vegas, Warner Bros. chose the Sony’s Blu-Ray format for its movies, swinging a major blow at the HD-DVD camp. And now, Paramount will follow? There was the rumour that Bill Gates’ was going to announce an HD-DVD equipped Xbox360. But we may never know because the HD-DVD press conference was abruptly cancelled following Warner Brothers’ announcement, hence Bill’s speech was empty and only about his farewell. He may as well have bidded farewell to HD-DVD also.
